Just finished a couple orders going to APTN tomorrow.
I broke my knuckle in a tragic Oculus VR accident just over a week ago. It definitely slowed me down. The metal brace I have keeps my finger from bending, which is an absolute necessity. A very painful, uncomfortable and awkward injury. Plus having to explain WHY it happened, doesn't help lol

I've come to the conclusion that, in my 50's I have hit my mid life crisis and have reverted to my lost teen years. My free time is spent playing video games, getting tattooed and riding motorcycles. 🏍ī¸đŸ•šī¸đŸ–‹ī¸

I am quite swamped for the rest of May and most of June and will not be accepting new orders for those months. I will have some free time in July, if you would like to order, please do so sooner than later!

If you wonder why I charge what I do, this is $700 worth of cotton. I don't use poly cotton or broad cloth, and I have phased out polyester batting. Those materials are flammable, not breathable and very hard on the environment. They never break down. In the last couple of years, I've been spending double what I normally would on materials, but haven't increased my prices. I'm making less, working more. But that's how keeping a small business going sometimes goes. I'm grateful for the repeat customers I have and for the new ones that come. I'm a one woman show, second generation star blanket maker, I honor my gift.

This is a Nova Star pattern from strips left over from many orders.
It's a donation to my sister's fundraising wedding social this weekend.
When I am asked for donations for fundraisers I will offer strip blankets.

Before everyone starts blasting out requests 😄...

I don't always have material, so it will be dependent on that first.
Second, pm me with requests. I require proof of event (social ticket, Hall Booking, organization letter head)
Date and location.
Strip quilts are not customized. You get what I have!
I love supporting my community fundraisers. These blankets normally get a lot of attention.
Of course, you can order a custom star blanket for your fundraiser as well ;)
