Top Tactics for small
Yesterday we talked strategy (Big ideas you need to develop in your business).
Tactics are the "How" for strategy. We started with ... so "how" do you show a growth mindset in a small company?

"Show" a growth mindset or "have"one? π€
Well, you might not have one yet, but it starts with awareness! If you can show one anyways you'll inspire confidence in your customers and employees.
π Here are the marks of a great growth mindset in a trade business:
π»π1οΈβ£ You know your niche:
- Specializing in a segment (residential, apartment buildings, solar, commercial...) doesn't mean you won't take work that comes up, but it gives you focus when you're marketing, and builds confidence amomg customers;
- Once you develop real niche expertise, you can start to develop premium services at premium prices.
ππ A growing business comes across as a specialist in some way.
π»π2οΈβ£You are found online:
- Your customers almost certainly will look for you online these days. Be there!
- Oh, and don't just snap a picture of your business card to post, or worse yet, use a personal profile instead of a page. That screams "I'm incompetent!".
- find 10 little things about your chosen niche and make short videos, and post them, and ask your employees and customers to comment on them.
ππ It's not about traffic, exactly. Be online in a way that adds up, that says "these guys know their stuff!"
π»π3οΈβ£ TRACK your numbers!
- Create some kind of growth activity and track it. If you really have too much work and can't do any marketing, you should be raising your prices!

π»π4οΈβ£ Set goals like a business owner
- Your business is either growing or going away - that's just the reality. If you're truly working because it's just what you do, that's a hobby!
- Every quarter, set something for you or the team to achieve: new customers, maintenance updated, etc. And review what went well or not.
ππ Work ON your business at least some time every week, as opposed it IN your business!
πͺ Taking action on these things can elevate you from an overworked one-van-band to an efficient, well-known little powerhouse in your community.
