When the cameras showed up for the HGTV Home Town Takeover announcement, one familiar face found herself in the spotlight. 🎥

Our very own Jenella had the chance to be interviewed as part of the coverage, sharing some of the excitement that’s been building around Port Alberni.

Anyone who knows Jenella knows she’s not usually looking for the spotlight—but she did a fantastic job representing not only Jowsey’s, but the incredible sense of community that makes the Alberni Valley such a special place.

We’re proud of her, proud of our team, and excited to see what this opportunity means for our town.

Renovations are exciting, but when you’re surrounded by furniture, mattresses, fabrics, and wood finishes, you have to be careful about how you do them.

As we’ve been updating parts of the store, we’ve made decisions based not only on appearance, but also on protecting the products on our showroom floor. That means choosing materials and installation methods that minimize dust, fumes, and airborne contaminants wherever possible.

The goal is simple: improve the store while ensuring the furniture you see today is in the same condition as the day it arrived.

A lot of planning goes into projects like this behind the scenes, and we’re excited to keep sharing the progress as the updates continue!

After spending time helping a customer fit the perfect piece into their home, Renaldo was happy to make sure the goodies were delivered safely (quality control may or may not have been involved 😉).
