After a lot of wick testing, burn testing, and experimenting with my new soy-coconut wax blend… the hexagon candles are finally ready 🕯️✨

This jar shape definitely challenged me more than my usual candle vessels, but I’m really happy I stuck with it because I love how elegant they turned out.

Available scents currently include:
• French Vanilla
• Lemon Pound Cake
• Jasmine
• Driftwood Fog — my signature blend

These 8 oz candles are handcrafted in small batches here in Port Alice, BC using a premium creamy soy-coconut wax blend for a beautiful glow and lovely scent throw.

The candles are available now, although the scent will continue to deepen and strengthen over the next 1–2 weeks as they fully cure.

Honestly, candle making is such a mix of creativity, patience, testing… and science experiments 😉 but finally getting the right wick in these jars was SO satisfying.

I truly appreciate every person who supports my small local business and allows me to keep creating. ❤️

I was recently asked to clean up and refill a candle container I had originally made and sold to a customer & friend… and this is now its FOURTH refill! 🕯️✨

I honestly love that this piece keeps getting reused instead of thrown away.

This time, she asked for it without wicks because she now uses a candle warming lamp instead. And after seeing it in action, I completely understand why!

No open flame, no soot, no fire risk… and the scent throw is actually amazing. The warmers melt the wax evenly and seem to release fragrance beautifully throughout the room.

Of course… I ended up buying a candle warming lamp too 😁💙

Here’s the little journey:
• the original candle
• after burning
• cleaned out and refreshed
• refilled
• and glowing under my warmer lamp but it will be back in the owners hands soon✨

I have to admit… seeing the sea-inspired shell bowl glowing under that blue crystal lamp is kind of magical.

Candle testing continues here at Warm Wish Crafts 🕯️✨

I think I may finally have the right wick for these beautiful hexagon jars after several rounds of testing!

This jar shape has definitely been more challenging than my smooth round vessels, but I’m learning a lot in the process. One wick burned too hot, one was too small, and now this latest test is looking very promising so far.

I’m also testing a new soy-coconut wax blend, and the scent throw on the jasmine candle is already lovely even though the candle is still very fresh.

Candle making really is part creativity… and part science experiment 😂🕯️

I still have a little more testing to do before these are officially market-ready, but I’m excited because I feel like I’m getting very close now.

✨ Candle Testing Continues ✨

I’m back to testing one of my newer candle jar shapes, and I’m starting to understand why candle makers can become slightly obsessed with wicks 😂

This jar has been a little more challenging than the standard smooth round vessels I usually work with. Different shapes burn differently, and finding the right wick is definitely a process.

There’s actually been a bit of a gap since my last candle testing post because I had to wait for an order of a wick size I was missing to arrive so I could continue testing this particular jar.

So far:
• one wick burned too hot
• one was too small
• one mushroomed too much

Now I’m testing another option and hoping this one will finally be the right fit 🤞

Candle making really is part creativity, part science experiment, and part patience.

The photo was taken just after lighting it, so now the real testing begins 🕯️

After a full 4-week cure and lots of testing, my new Lemon Solid Dish Soap Bars are now ready 🍋

I’ve been using one myself for over a week now, and I’m honestly so pleased with how well it performs.
