Cristae is a boutique design firm located in Vancouver, BC, specializing in the design and manufactu

Cristae Forms, a collection of unique oversized sculptural planters. There four models of planters which are fabricated using rotational moulding. Each polyethylene planter is then individually treated with a special flaming process that produces a smooth matte finish. All planters are durable, light and UV protected and can be ordered with or without drainage systems.

Our first collection- the PL Series short origin story below.

Local artist Marie Khouri designed the PL Series Collection it was originally created as a centerpiece concept in concrete for a garden installation.

The concept has since evolved into a functional and decorative industrial product. The sculpting process always begins with a lump of clay in the palm of her hands, and it produces the free flowing curves that take shape as each planter is turned degree by degree to achieve a unique and distinctive design.

The PL Series is a comprehensive collection of five hand made sculptural vessels engineered for interior as well as exterior uses, while still conveying a definite sense of atelier work.

Despite a strong stylistic correspondence between them all, these vessels take greatly varying sizes and proportions. This variety was intended to better accommodate spaces of different nature, from the smallest balconies to the grandest hotel lobbies.
