Since opening in 1970, Larry and Laura Klotz built more than just a business — they built lasting relationships and a strong community legacy. As Larry and Laura officially retire, we thank them for their decades of dedication, hard work, and heart. Their impact on the community will not be forgotten.

United Floors Hinton is now excited to welcome new owner Brad Risler, who is honored to continue the tradition of exceptional service while bringing fresh energy into this next chapter. We look forward to celebrating this new beginning with a Grand Re-Opening planned for mid-July — stay tuned for more details!

A truly special moment at this year’s celebration as the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Larry Klotz by Parnell Pinette (United Floors Williams Lake)

Larry’s story is one of dedication that spans more than five decades in the floorcovering industry. From opening his first store in Hinton in 1973, to being one of the earliest members of the United Carpet group in Alberta, and eventually returning to the United Floors family in 2009—his journey reflects loyalty, consistency, and a deep belief in doing things the right way.

What stands out most is not just the length of his career, but the way he built it—one customer, one relationship, one promise at a time. Known in his community for honesty, reliability, and always going the extra mile, Larry has left a lasting mark on everyone he worked with.

This award is a small recognition of a lifetime of hard work, integrity, and community connection.
