How is the first day of summer only a couple weeks away? It feels like spring just barely arrived… the magnolias have come and gone, the lilacs are already fading and somehow we’re heading into those high double digit days!
Anyone else feeling like spring hit fast forward this year??

Who said laundry rooms can’t be an experience on their own?

Here are just a few of the laundry rooms that we have designed over the years. Each one was designed to support how our clients live.

Timberlane • The laundry room was integrated into the mudroom and hallway leading to the backyard. With a narrow footprint, every inch was maximize with thoughtful storage to keep daily clutter tucked away!

Centre Street • A small office just off the kitchen was transformed into a light filled laundry and workspace.

Loonstone • An unfinished basement became a pet lovers dream complete with a dedicated dog shower for muddy paws after play dates at the park. 🐾

Mary Street • Hidden behind a secret door, stacked machines on the second floor provide convenient everyday access without disrupting the flow of the home.

Hill Street • A reimagined floorplan created a perfect opportunity for a dedicated laundry room just off the kitchen that disappears behind closed doors when guests arrive.

At the start of every project, I always ask what else could this space become?

A simple kitchen update might be enough, but when an existing floor plan is asking to be reimagined in a more functional way, I’ll always suggest exploring that first.

At our Cawkers Cove project, we removed the wall, shared with the original kitchen and the oversized hallway, gaining 65 sqft of useable space. The result feels brighter, more connected and far more functional for everyday living.✨

And no matter what is currently trending, I’ll always love a timeless kitchen. 🤍

The ups and downs of April’s weather is a quiet reminder that the season is shifting towards more sun filled days, pretty shoes and hopefully a sink filled flowers. 💕

I’ve always been a reader, but over the last few years I traded books for podcasts and audiobooks and was saving “real” books for airplanes and beaches.

But I’ve started a new nightly ritual of turning off my phone and picking up a book instead. I’ve challenged myself to read a minimum of 10 pages. Some nights it turns into a few chapters, other nights I reread the same 10 pages as the night before .😴

But what I’m noticing most is how much easier it is to fall asleep. My mind isn’t racing the way it used to after scrolling.

This is not new information, but sometimes we get so caught up in the pace of everything that we forget the simplest shifts can make the biggest difference.

I’m not complaining, but it is getting a little bit hard to figure out what to wear these days. Rain in the morning to warm temps in the afternoon. I feel like I require a change of clothes mid day like on vacation or something!😎

When designing a kitchen, one of the most important questions we ask is: what is the experience you want to create here?

Each of these islands was designed with a very different intention:

1. Veronica Drive • Our client wanted ample seating and a seamless surface. This island was made for cookie-making afternoons and effortless buffet-style entertaining.

2. Mary Street • When you love to cook, like our client does, it’s was important for her to feel connected to her family while cooking. We sourced stools for when her grandkids wanted to joined in but they also tuck neatly away when not in use.

3. Center Street • Designed for the pace of everyday life—quick dinners before hockey practice, homework at the counter, and a place to grab a drink on the way to the pool.

4. Timberlane • Basking in natural light, this island seats six and offers generous workspace, layered with storage and a prep sink with filtration for easy access to both the coffee station and outdoor entertaining.

5. Orono Chalet• A kitchen refresh with a movable island defines the kitchen while keeping it open, creating a cozy spot for morning coffee with a view.
