We are not here to live life in half measures.
When we meet with friends, we can stifle our laughter so that we don't deepen the crow's feet around our eyes.
Or we can laugh with abandon and deepen our bonds of friendship.
When we watch our child blow out candles on their birthday cake, we can refuse to eat a piece so that we don't gain a pound or two.
Or we can eat and enjoy the cake and gain precious memories with our family.
When we go out, we can spend time concerning ourselves with our outfit or our hair. Avoiding the rain or the dance floor so that we look our best.
Or we can spend time learning about the people we love. We can dance with them as the rain falls and fall for them on the dance floor and we can look happy.
Because are not here to live a life that looks good.
We are here to live a life that feels good.
And laughter
and good food
and good company...
they're the things that make life feel good. They're the things that make us happy.
And happy is always a good look.
