Unique'D Furniture Unique'D Furniture specializes in one-of-a-kind hand-crafted root & epoxy furniture on Haida Gwaii, BC. At first it was special pieces he made for his wife.

Each piece is a unique reflection of nature's artistry, bringing a touch of the outdoors into your home. Dan Kendall was born and raised on Haida Gwaii (formerly Queen Charlotte Islands) and his roots are deeply embedded there. He has always had a connection with woodworking and excelled in it since high school. It wasn’t until Covid 19 hit that he had the time to explore his creative side in wood

working. Then he started seeing potential in all kinds of roots, branches, burls and stumps - the more twisted it was, the better. The more inspired he became, the more potential he saw in the wood. Most of the wood he uses is left over from logging, found on the beaches or found when clearing land with his excavator. Some pieces sit for years before finding a project that it would be perfect in, other connections are found immediately. All pieces are inspired from nature and totally unique.
