Adrift in the endless currents of our own thoughts, we have forgotten how to truly see one another. How can human beings be considered the noblest of creatures?
When we see birds flying together toward their destination,
fish swimming in groups in the depths of the oceans to reach their goals,
yet we humans live in hypocrisy, division, and war,
with hardly any trace of unity, empathy, humanity, or togetherness.
A unity within diversity that could be the most beautiful human quality.
So how can we call ourselves the noblest of all creation? پرندگان و ماهی‌ها بر اساس غریزه در هماهنگی‌اند؛
آن‌ها «انتخاب» نمی‌کنند که با هم باشند، هستند.
نه خودخواهی دارند، نه قدرت‌طلبی، نه «من»ی که بخواهد بر «ما» غلبه کند.
اما انسان اشرف مخلوقات نامیده شد نه به‌خاطر آن‌چه هست، بلکه به‌خاطر آن‌چه می‌تواند بشود.
انسان تنها موجودی‌ست که:
 می‌تواند بداند و با این حال خطا کند می‌تواند قدرت داشته باشد و آن را مهار کند
 می‌تواند متفاوت باشد و آگاهانه وحدت را انتخاب کند. نفاق، جدایی، جنگ و كشتار نشانه‌ی سقوط انسان از ظرفیت انسانی خودش‌است.
اشرف مخلوقات بودن یک ادعا نیست، یک مسئولیت است.
مسئولیتِ تبدیلِ عقل به خرد، قدرت به رحمت و کثرت به وحدت.
شاید حقیقت تلخ این باشد که
بسیاری از ما هنوز «به انسان بودن نرسیده‌ایم».
وحدت در کثرت زیباترین صفت انسانی‌ست
شاید اشرف مخلوقات بودن
نه وضع موجود بشر، بلکه امکانِ نجات اوست
