A recent delivery to Jackie. We collaborated on these 2 unique pieces - the gorgeous pottery bases were created by Jackie and I wove tops onto them. The smaller one has a raffia top, stitched on with a simple blanket stitch. The taller one has a reed top, with a simple twine stitch that spirals up the spokes. It is so rewarding to collaborate with fellow local makers!

Another table runner off my new-to-me LeClerc Artisat 36” loom. I wanted to explore creating a very textured runner so I combined 4/8 cotton warp with 8/8 cotton tabby and a very thick, fluffy acrylic blend for the overshot pattern. The pattern (Annabel) is from Dixon, The Handweaver’s Pattern Directory, p. 114 top. I love the creative process of playing with materials, textures, and colour. Tomorrow- wet finishing to see how it all pulls together.

A few new baskets completed. They will be available at Art in the Park at Talbot Trail Place, Blenheim on Saturday, June 20th, 9am - 3 pm.
