Melly's Creations I enjoy working with my artistic side. Days that I don't get even a small ounce of opportunity to do so is a day that lacks luster.

This is my chance to share them with you.

I can't believe it's been over a year since my last creative post. I suppose Chickens and Canning will do that.
However, I have been working on an extension of a painting I did a while ago.

As well have decided while Dave makes the harder wooden/acrylic turned pens again this year that I'd do a few easier pen assemblies.

Maybe I'll do a booth closer to Christmas somewhere 🤷‍♀️. I have a few other ideas floating around since my craft room is getting closer to being functional.

Making clothing is NOT for the weak!
Crocheting clothing for humans is NOT for me!

However, I started this project and I WILL complete this project... eventually.

But I will be going back to my emotional support friends and weighted creatures.

Chickens!!!!

These little ones haven't been named.

But the brown one has been weighted.

The white one is simply just stuffed. But this one does make me want to put a bouncy ball or wiggle ball in it.

Fly the Fun Guy

He's just so adorable!

Fly is definitely my favourite sensory creation at the moment.

With cotton yarn and the stitch being textured...it feels nice scratching it.
He's full of rice in his head and body for weight too. Fly weighs 8oz. And he's a little squishy so he can be squeezed for a little of that relief.
His arms were left empty so that they can be twisted and folded easily.

AND!!!! Fly's mushroom cap...POPS UP! So you can pop his cap over and over again. (Photo in comments for the pop up look)

Took a little break from Crocheting as I had a creative block.

Sparky the Dragon

Is my first attempt at altering/creating my own pattern. The body I rewrote myself. Same with his ears.

Onto my next one!

I can finally show case Ducky now that he's been taken to his new home.

Ducky is an emotional support animal who is filled with rice to give him a little weight to keep him and you grounded.

Because you're DUCKING AWESOME!

His new owner requested yellow and pink for his colours. You too can have your very own little ducky in your choice of colors.

Emotional Support Mouse

Optimism is an exciting and beautiful march which always inspires you to move forward bravely on the road of your journey

Mousey here taught me a lot. And a few things I would do differently. Including rewriting parts of the pattern to make more sense. Especially at the neck and face. So eventually there will be a mousey 2.
