It’s time for us to say goodbye as we head into retirement!
From August 2012 to August 2026, those 14 years have gone by in a flash. What began as a business adventure turned into a remarkable journey filled with friendships, experiences, challenges, and memories that we will carry with us for many years to come.
While we certainly won’t miss worrying about exchange-rate fluctuations or stressing over containers while they were somewhere at sea, we will most certainly miss the many wonderful people we’ve had the privilege of meeting along the way.
We will miss the amazing artisans in Indonesia and Cambodia whose incredible talent, creativity, and passion made our stores so special.
We will miss our wonderful team in Bali, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help make everything possible, and our passionate staff who brought so much energy and heart to what we did.
And, most of all, we will miss all of you who shared our love for Tradewinds, Mermaid Tales, Elephant Trading Post, and Zen Garden — those of you who visited year after year, brought friends and family, shared stories, and became part of our extended family.
Your support, friendship, and loyalty have meant more to us than we can possibly express.
As we close this chapter and begin the next one, we do so with enormous gratitude. Thank you for being part of our journey and for making these 14 years so memorable.
We may be retiring, but the memories — and the friendships — will stay with us forever.
