A look inside Project Barbican, where we’re making some big changes to the main floor.

Opening up the space was a priority for these homeowners. With new structural beams in place, we’re creating a more natural connection between the kitchen and living room, with a large island and custom cabinetry at the centre of it all.

The goal is simple: better flow, more functional space, and a main floor that feels connected from one room to the next.

A little progress update from one of our ensuite bathroom renovations!

This ensuite is just one of the many spaces we’re working on as part of a full-scale home renovation, and we’re loving how the rich blue shower tile is coming together alongside the lighter wood cabinetry.

The variation in the tile adds so much depth and character, while the natural wood tones bring some warmth and balance to the space.

We’ve also incorporated a built-in shower niche for practical storage, keeping everything looking clean and streamlined.

Still a few finishing touches to go, but we’re excited to see this one come together!

After many wonderful years with Cabinet Works Plus, our much-loved bookkeeper will soon be retiring!

While we’ll certainly miss having her as part of our day-to-day team, we’re excited to welcome someone new to the Cabinet Works Plus family.

Designing the space is only one part of what we do.

From kitchens and bathrooms to mudrooms, built-ins and full main floor transformations, we design spaces around how our clients actually live — and we can take care of the renovation side, too.

That means coordinating the details, managing the process, and bringing in the trusted trades we’ve worked with for decades. Having those long-standing relationships makes a difference when it comes to keeping a project moving and making the entire experience feel a little more seamless.

At 11 feet long, the island is going to be one of the defining features of Project Green Meadow.

The scale gives us seating for 6–7, while still leaving plenty of room for prep space, smart storage and a hidden microwave — all integrated into the design.

We’re pairing stained white oak cabinetry with a soapstone slab that has some really beautiful, distinctive veining. The warmth of the oak against the depth and movement of the stone is a combination we’re especially excited to see come together.

It’s a substantial piece, but every inch has been considered for how this kitchen will actually be used — durable materials, generous workspace and a place for everyone to gather.
