Joe Thornton came out of a SmallTown called St Thomas Ontario Canada (“Jumbo Joe”), he isn’t playing professional hockey anymore. He retired from the NHL in 2023 after last playing for the Florida Panthers in 2021–22.

He’s still very involved in hockey, though: he’s now a player development coach and hockey operations adviser with the San Jose Sharks. He was also inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2025.

This his mural in our court house! Just a little information if we have any hockey fans out there!!’ 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

We had the pleasure of welcoming St. Thomas’ own Joe Thornton to The Court House - an absolute beauty on and off the ice! If you look closely at our mural, you’ll even spot his autograph 👀✍️

You never know who you’ll run into around here… but one thing’s official:

🍂 A Little Rustic Fall Magic 🍂

I had so much fun transforming this vintage suitcase into a beautiful Rustic Fall display! I filled it with warm autumn colours, pumpkins, Lantern, rustic pit berries, wheat, natural textures and twinkling lights to give an old treasure a brand-new life. 🧡✨

This was my project from Saturday, August 22, created for Sweet South and North Chics and streamed on Craft Round The Clock.

There’s just something I love about taking something old and forgotten and turning it into something beautiful again. 🍁
