🌸 A Little Note From The Wee Flower Shop 🌸
Firstly, I want to say how incredibly grateful I am for all of the wonderful people who have supported this little dream of ours. Your honesty, kindness and encouragement mean more to us than you probably realize. 💕
When we decided to run The Wee Flower Shop on an honour system, we knew there would occasionally be money missing. Unfortunately, being short happens fairly regularly, and while it’s disappointing, we’ve accepted that it may be part of putting our trust in the community.
But today was a little different.
I came home to discover that someone had removed flowers from one of our arrangements — specifically the lisianthus, which were the beautiful show flowers of the bouquet.
And strangely, that upset me more than the money we were short today.
I take a lot of pride in every arrangement that leaves our little shop. I work hard to offer beautiful, high-quality flowers at a very fair price, and once those flowers were removed, what was left was no longer something I would have been proud to sell.
My heart sank thinking that someone visiting us for the first time might have seen that arrangement and thought it represented our work.
So I’m asking, very kindly but sincerely: please don’t remove flowers from the arrangements, and please pay the full amount for the items you take.
When a small business is shorted, it has a much bigger impact than you might realize. Every dollar — and every flower — matters.
We have some BIG dreams for The Wee Flower Shop, and we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on some lovely new things that we can’t wait to share later this week. 🌸
We want this little shop to continue being a happy, welcoming place built on trust, kindness and community.
To the overwhelming majority of you who support us, pay honestly, return your vases, tell your friends about us and cheer us on — thank you. You are the reason we continue to believe an honour system can work.
We appreciate you more than you know. 💕🌸
