Scalloped Potatoes - OMGđą DON'T LOSE THISđ
Ingredients:
- Âź cup butter
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Âź cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Âź teaspoon pepper
- 3 pounds white potatoes, sliced about â
"" thick
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, sautĂŠing until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
4. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
6. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce, spreading evenly.
8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
9. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Tips:
