THE ULTIMATE SWEATER KNIT A LONG IS HERE! 🧶☕
We are launching a brand-new, 8-week Social KAL at Heaven Is Handmade, but with a massive twist: You are calling the shots.
Welcome to the Knit, Sip and Laugh Social KAL!
Instead of us choosing what we’re making, you get to pitch your most wanted to cast on sweater design. We’ll vote on the winner, and then we’re all tackling the exact same sweater together!
🗓️ The Journey:
• Week 1 (Pitch Night - Oct 29 @ 7 PM): Grab your beverage, bring your cozy vibes, and give a quick 2 to 3 minute pitch for the sweater pattern you’ve been dying to cast on.
Rule: Must be size-inclusive and not overly advanced!
Afterwards, we’ll email you the Ravelry links for all patterns pitched and a online link to vote. You will then have until Monday to place your vote!
• Week 2 (Nov 5): The winning pattern is announced! Don't worry, we will send out a teaser email the night before with suggested yarn weight, needles and gauge info. For those who want to get a head start! When we meet, we will talk yarn pairing, pick our colours, and dive into gauge swatches or casting on!
• Weeks 3 - 8: We’ll meet weekly at the shop (or local spots!) to chat progress, life, and keep each other motivated. These meetings will be Thursdays from 7-9pm
• BONUS - Week 9: The Grand Finale! A gorgeous dinner out on the town wearing our finished (or beautifully almost-finished) sweaters 🥂✨ This will be discussed at our Week 8 Meet Up.
Whether you're a seasoned garment knitter or newer to garment knitting, this is for you. Friends, new and old, lots of laughs and tons of encouragement!
Please note: This is a social KAL, not a technique class. We’ll be working and cheering each other on together, but formal lessons won't be taught. Tips and tricks will be shared among participants and as always help can be book through Heaven Is Handmade/

💰 KAL Cost: $45+HST - Includes the winning pattern, snacks, and prizes - yes, there will be silly games with prizes!
Final dinner night out not included in cost.
This KAL can be a stash buster or receive a 15% discount on all materials purchased for the KAL at Heaven Is Handmade.
