Women with AuDHD (autism + ADHD) are statistically more likely to experience bullying, social exclusion, and manipulation throughout their lives. Research consistently shows autistic people are bullied at much higher rates than non-autistic peers, and ADHD is also linked to increased victimization—especially for girls who are often socialized to mask their differences and tolerate mistreatment just to belong. Many of us grow up misunderstood or targeted simply for thinking, communicating, and feeling differently. Speaking about this isn’t bitterness—it’s reclamation. It’s taking back a voice that was ignored for too long. For me, that voice comes through art: creating is how I process, heal, and turn those experiences into something visible, powerful, and undeniably my own.
