As the design principal for Robbin Caskenette Interiors, her focus is always on creating beautiful, inviting and functional rooms that consider the needs of the whole family. It means creat

ing spaces that can grow with your family. It means considering not just this moment, but the many moments ahead. It means providing families with young children, teens and pets with options like durable fabrics and finishes, storage and child-safe furniture. And the goal for each project is always to help clients create a home that brings together these considerations with gorgeous design! As a former teacher and as a mom, she understands how to design spaces for families. Making a room functional through good design decisions is a critical piece of the process. Storage requirements, how the space will flow and paying attention to how the room has to function for the family are all part of her collaboration with clients. It truly is “all in the details” – whether it’s the art or beautiful but forgiving finishes and textiles or an inspiring colour palette – it’s all of these elements that will make a space inviting and meaningful for everyone who lives in the home. Whether it’s a family room, playroom, bedroom, nursery, kitchen or bathroom – whatever the space – she will work with you to create a design that will be a true reflection of your family! What was once a dark and dated room is now light, fresh, and so inviting.
We said goodbye to the golden walls and “orangey” oak furniture to make way for soft greys and blues, layered textures, and a gorgeous and re-imagined dining suite—this space got the refresh it deserved. 💫
