I'm Janet, the owner, painter, and creative mind behind Add Some Flair. There's a few things you need to know about me: I'm a mom, and I suffer from allergies and chemical sensitivities. I was always looking for ways to save money by repurposing stuff I found at garage sales or auctions. I confess to being a bit of a hoarder, hating to throw away anything that could be given new life. I'd look at

an old dresser, and think, "I can turn that into a bookshelf!" I always found ways to re-use and recycle stuff into something useful. I'm extremely sensitive to chemicals such as those found in many cleaning products, beauty products and paint and furniture restoration products. In order to pursue my passion to transform furniture, I had to find a paint that was completely non-toxic. Fusion Mineral Paint and related products are perfect! I don't get headaches or nausea or any other symptoms that are always present when I use most other products on the market. We still live in the rambling old farmhouse where we raised our family. The little barn which used to have horses, cows, pigs, chickens and goats now is a storage space for furniture I'm about to re-finish. The space on the side of the house that used to be a computer store years ago has been transformed into our store and workshop. There's plenty of room for me to work on the latest treasure, and for my customers to join me in learning to use this fabulous paint. All of our pieces are unique and hand-painted, adding flair to timeless treasures in order to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. Not only do we love to renew old things, we enjoy teaching others to do the same! Workshops are a fun way to learn new skills such as stencilling, transferring images, embossing, and gilding. Our Story

Hi! I'm Janet, the owner, painter, and creative mind behind Add Some Flair. I love to use Fusion Mineral Paint to create beautiful things for your home. I paint signs, furniture, clocks, and boxes, - there’s nothing like transforming something ordinary into something extraordinary.

I also love to teach my customers how to paint beautiful things. Our workshops and painting parties for everyone from kids to adults are fun and informative, and people go home with a finished piece and a whole lot of new skills and knowledge. Workshops are a fun way to learn new skills such as stencilling, transferring images, embossing, and gilding. I'm extremely sensitive to chemicals such as those found in many cleaning products, beauty products and paint and furniture restoration products. In order to pursue my passion to transform furniture, I had to find a paint that was completely non-toxic. Fusion Mineral Paint and related products are perfect! I don't get headaches or nausea or any other symptoms that are always present when I use most other products on the market. This paint has been tested and is VOC-free, which means you can safely use it indoors.

We do custom work. Do you want a particular sign but don’t have time to paint it yourself? We’ll do that for you! Do you need an updated look in your kitchen? We paint kitchen cabinets, too. We also are happy to do custom mugs for our customers with vinyl lettering and cute designs.

Transforming furniture is another passion. Why take old pieces to the landfill when you can give them new life with a quality paint? We can paint your pieces for you, or teach you how to do it. We also have painted pieces for sale.
