Last night, I went to see her after dark. ✨

And somehow… she looked different.

There she was, glowing on Fifth Street — brilliant and shiny and bright. Warm light spilling through the windows, my little heart on the glass, and this dream that lived in my imagination for so long suddenly lighting up the night.

I stood outside for a moment and just looked at her.

My studio. 🤍

The tables are waiting. The shelves are filling. The lights are glowing. And very soon, there will be people inside creating, laughing, visiting, learning, and making memories together.

But last night, she was quiet.

Just me, standing on the sidewalk, admiring this beautiful little dream of mine all lit up.

Oh, Art Soul Studio…

You sure do shine. ✨🌙

✨ Today, it felt real. ✨

Two weeks.

Two weeks of working hard on this space. Building, painting, organizing, setting everything up the way I’ve dreamed about for so long.

Up until now, I’ve just been in go mode. There was always another shelf to hang, another box to unpack, another thing to build, clean, organize or figure out.

But today was different.

Today, we put away the work tools. We swept up the last of the sawdust and scraps. We tidied everything up and, for the first time, I really stopped and looked around.

And then I walked from the front of the studio toward my hubby — the person who has been right beside me through all of this, helping me build not just a studio, but a dream I’ve carried for so long.

And it came.

The tears. 🥹

All the tears I think I’ve simply been too busy to feel.

I stood there, looked around at Art Soul Studio, and realized…

We did it. ❤️

This little dream that lived in my head and heart for so long is now a real place. A place where people will create, laugh, learn, connect and hopefully feel completely at home.

There are still a few little finishing touches to come, but today, for the first time, I wasn't looking around thinking about what still needed to be done.

I was just standing inside my dream.....being proud of me and of us....

And what an incredible feeling that was. ❤️
