Serpent River First Nation Trading Post The Serpent River First Nation Trading Post has been serving the area for over 30 years! The Gift Shop is open 7 days a week (10am-6pm).

Owned by the Serpent River First Nation community and operated by the Serpent River First Nation Limited Partenership, the Serpent River Trading Post is open to everyone! The Gas Station does its best to keep a competitive price and is open 364 days/yr 7am-9pm. Serpent River First Nation invites everyone to visit our beautiful community and what we have to offer.

September 30th is a day to honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities who continue to be affected by this history.

It is a day to remember the truths of what happened, to listen to the experiences and voices of Survivors, and to reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.

Today, we pause to remember, to learn, and to honour those at the heart of this day. 🧡

🧡 Every Child Matters

As we approach September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we are taking time to reflect, remember, and honour.

September 30 is a day to honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and the children who never returned home. It is also an opportunity to learn about the history and lasting impacts of the residential school system and to reflect on our shared responsibility toward truth and reconciliation.

Wearing orange is one way to visibly acknowledge this history and show that we remember the children and affirm that Every Child Matters.

We carry a selection of Every Child Matters pieces, including shirts, hoodies, magnets and other items, for those who wish to wear or display them as part of their own remembrance and reflection.

We encourage everyone to take time this September 30 to learn, reflect, and honour the Survivors, families, communities, and children at the heart of this day
