We promise - it's not that scary! Come learn the secrets of magic loop, a technique that allows you to knit a smaller circumference with a longer cable. Great for hats, socks, sleeves, and necklines.

That means no more DPNs and no more switching cable sizes part way through a project!

Kayla will show you all the tips and tricks to knitting in the round using magic loop - just bring your needles and some yarn to cast on with.

Bramble Ridge is coming to Squamish!

If you didn't make it to Knit City Fibre Festivals, allow us to bring Meaghan's beautiful yarns to you.

On Saturday, Sweet Threads Yarn and Fibre is hosting Bramble Ridge for a sweet and colorful pop-up. Come shop and chat with Meaghan to learn more about the various yarns she carries. We're particularly excited about her sock yarns and her DK weight suri alpaca fluff.

We'll put the kettle on, and hope you'll join us. If you're from the Lower Mainland, it's a perfect reason to take a drive up the Sea to Sky.

We are closed Wednesday, Sept 30th to recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day and Orange Shirt Day. 🧡

We hope you'll take the day to join a local event and to remember all those impacted through the terrible legacy of the residential and day school systems.

The impact is far-reaching and the ripples still continue to spread today. Even one lost or abused child is too many, and the numbers impacted through the residential schools are astronomical.

The Squamish march starts at 12pm at the corner of Winnipeg and Cleveland. The ceremony at O'Siyam Pavilion is from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

The story of Crafty Jak’s (Katrina Stewart) Heartfelt Sock development! It's so important that we support our Canadian fibreshed to build local capacity.

Buying local yarn means that dyers, mills, and farmers can invest in their businesses and support themselves.

We're so proud of our wall of Canadian makers in-store, and so happy to see everyone who has picked up a Canadian yarn project during the makealong.

We carry the Heartfelt Sock blend in store, which Katrina has custom milled for softness and toughness - all without any nylon! Crafty Jak's is a family affair, with Katrina as the main dyer, her mom as the sewist and her husband making drop spindles and setting up booths at all the yarn festivals. Making together is such a joy, and we love what this family brings into the yarny world.
