A: Absolutely, we are honouring all Gift Cards and redemption of all active/not expired credit notes.

Q: Will you offer exchanges?

A: We will offer exchanges up to January 13th, 2025

Q: When are you planning to close?

A: The date is unknown at this time when we will close Newfoundland Weavery’s doors.

Q: Can I put an item on hold?

A: No, we are not able to put any items on hold at this time.

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the closing of our beloved stores, Whink & The Newfoundland Weavery. After 15 years of pouring my heart and soul into these beautiful places, we’ve had to make this difficult decision.

Creating Whink and having the opportunity to purchase the oldest retail store in our downtown core has been an incredible honour. I feel blessed and thankful to have had this chapter in my life. Running these stores has taught me so much about myself, business, our community, our artists, and most importantly, the amazing people who I am so lucky to call my employees, friends, customers, and supporters.

As a proud business owner in our province of Newfoundland and Labrador, it isn’t a secret that the last few years have been incredibly challenging. A lot of things happened that were beyond anyone's control, but they came with consequences. And our businesses have forever changed. From bigger online shopping outlets, freight costs, consumer behaviour, spending, and foot traffic; the economic climate does not offer a bright future for this business model.

The local support and love that I received meant everything, however, it is not enough to keep these stores open. Given this current economic environment, I must reshape my future. I see an even sparklier and brighter future ahead. I believe my energy and creativity will shine more in a new role.

I have been so lucky to have the most amazing staff to work with; I so value and appreciate the dedication, care, and energy they have given to me and the stores. Their unwavering commitment has been a cornerstone of our businesses, and I am forever grateful for their hard work and passion.

Over the next few weeks, we invite you to join us in celebrating these two incredible stores. We have banded together and will be operating solely out of The Newfoundland Weavery for our final days. We hope to see you to say goodbye and I hope you find something special from Whink and The Newfoundland Weavery to take home and cherish.

It is the end of the most sparkly era, but I am looking forward to this next chapter. With two small children, I am looking forward to having the a little more time to enjoy these precious moments with them. Letting go of this piece of our hearts isn’t easy, but when the glitter settles, it will bring new opportunities and I’m so excited for that. Remember to always dream big and never dull your sparkle. The best is yet to come.
