Our Make & Mingle swap spotlight is shining today on this absolute ray of sunshine made by Karen Emde! ☀️✨

Karen used the Lily of the Valley bundle from the Valley in Bloom suite, and can we just take a moment for this color palette? The cheerful yellows, soft blues, and mix of greens are so incredibly fresh and springlike! It feels like a warm breeze in card form. 🍃💛💙

I love how that delicate floral die cut ties the whole look together over the blue pattern and crisp white card base. It’s such a happy, uplifting design—and definitely lives up to that "Wishing you a happy day" greeting!

It’s Friday, and warm woodgrain tones are taking over for this week’s Monochromatic Insta Hop with Crafty Collaborations! 🪵 Warm up your feed with Pecan Pie!

For this project, I paired a fun double Z-fold layout with the rustic beauty of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. Just like with last week's Nature Walk DSP, Country Woods had the exact right tone and texture to bring this monochromatic vision to life.

Both last week and this week, I was able to make a powerful, clean card that truly works for anyone on your card-sending list. Not every card needs to embrace all the pretty, lacy, and floral elements! There is so much versatility hiding in your supplies, and taking a step back to create clean, rustic, or gender-neutral styles means you can tailor a design so your loved ones and friends feel like it was created just for them. 🤎✨

A true labor of love! 🧶❤️
​Before heading to Calgary, I spent every spare moment working on a blanket for my parents. My kids and even one of their spouses helped crochet granny squares, and my brother in BC even gave crochet a try for the first time ever! I sewed them all together and finished the edges so we could send a big blanket of hugs and love to my parents from the whole family.
​I'm currently away visiting my parents this week, so posts might be a bit light while I enjoy this quality time. My weekly newsletter might be a bit delayed, but I'll do my best!

We are keeping the Make & Mingle swap inspiration rolling with a card that is just blooming with creativity! 🪴🌱

I am absolutely tickled by the clever details on this one. The artist matched a stunning strip of floral patterned paper with a dimensional, textured little flowerpot. But my favorite quirky detail? The sentiment is stamped on a little garden-marker sign tucked right into the plant! It is such a fun, playful way to say "A little thanks."

A massive shoutout to the talented swappers who traded with me—I came home with so much beautiful artwork to share with you all!
