Last week we were in Harrison BC for my staff retreat 😌

We’re thrilled to welcome Shaylea Carifelle to the Skydancer Indigenous Cultural Centre & Gallery!

Shaylea is an Indigenous woman from Bigstone Cree Nation (Treaty 8 Territory) who currently lives in Stony Plain. She began crocheting about six years ago, starting with small YouTube projects before building the confidence to take on more challenging creations. Over the past year, she has started attending markets and launched her page, Kokum Hobbies.

Shaylea believes that healthy hobbies promote positive mental health and well-being, and her handcrafted creations are made with care and creativity.
