Priced by laser minutes, it's $15. That pays me about $16/hr for my time. One setup fee line takes it to $61/hr. Still under my target, and that's the point: tiny jobs lose money quietly.

From a photo to a sign 📷➡️🪵

My mom sent me a photo of a decoration for a friend's family that meant a lot to them. I redrew it as line art (the rosary, the roses, every horseshoe) and laser engraved it onto wood with a stand cut in, ready for the prayer corner.

Two passes in and you can barely see it. Keep going. 🪨

Stone doesn't burn — the laser fractures the surface a little more with every pass until the logo frosts in white and actually sits in the rock. Go too hard on power and it spalls and chips. Slow and steady wins.
