Yesterday, we had the honour of designing the florals for M + S’s special day.

(We also had the honour to be present as the groom stood up in our wedding ten years ago!)

M’s vision was elegant and white with lots of white garden roses and little airy accents of feverfew, daisy poms, nigella, vibirnum, and orlaya. The arch florals were designed to be reused for the reception sweetheart table so that they would be surrounded by flowers the entire night.

It was a beautiful day; the combining of two families and cultures is so special to witness.

We’re back with another week of gorgeous blooms for you!

Lots happening today… the farm crew is out planting a few thousand seedlings, while the shop team preps those lovely prom orders! 🌹

The market may have been cancelled due to the weather, but we’ve still got the prettiest market bouquets in town.

This week features Green Bee grown allium, nigella, ranunculus, tulips, fama scabiosa, dusty miller, and orlaya!

Bouquets are $25 each or 2/$45 (taxes included).

A reminder that we are closed Sundays and won’t be open for the market’s rain date tomorrow.

Green Bee grown ranunculus are making their appearance (finally!).

You’ll start to see them in bouquets and arrangements this weekend.

Ranunculus are one of the most temperamental crops we grow on the farm. They like sunshine but mild temperatures, water but not too much. They need feeding, and they are an aphid magnet.

Basically, they are the goldilocks of the spring flower season.

And thanks to that hot spell this past weekend, some have started to go dormant before even putting out a bloom.

They are also the most expensive corm. We pay $1.50-$4 CAD per corm. For some of the varieties, we may only get 1 flower this year.

That’s why this flower costs so much to enjoy on your table. They are pretty dang special.

For Mardina 💕

This bouquet featured so many Green Bee grown treasures: tulips, stock, nigella, anemone, and fama scabiosa. It was such a treat to design this colourful bridal bouquet (the palette matched the bridesmaid’s dresses!).

My favourite element, though, was the sweet little clematis stems dancing around as the bouquet moved. I’m absolutely loving seeing these interesting floral details that make bouquets feel fresh and unique.
