A seamless floor does not happen by chance. It is planned.

On this project, one of the most important details was the transition between tile and hardwood.

To get both surfaces meeting properly, we had to trim a full 18-foot section and carefully shim the base to create a custom transition.

Most homeowners will never notice the work underneath.

They will notice when the finished floor looks right.

That is the difference good preparation makes.

A lot of people focus on the flooring itself, but the real difference is in the details most homeowners never think about.

On this project, every piece of baseboard was carefully removed, labeled, and then reinstalled once the flooring was complete.

That takes more time and patience, but it means everything goes back where it belongs and the finished space looks clean instead of patched together.

It is extra work.

It is also the kind of work that separates a finished project from one that simply has new flooring.

We're hiring a Sales and Design Professional.

The role is in-home and in-store sales, plus estimating. You'd be meeting homeowners across Windsor-Essex, helping them choose flooring that fits how they actually live, and building the quotes that get the project moving.

If you have interior design experience, that translates here directly. If you don't but you're genuinely good with people, that counts for just as much. We'll teach you the rest.

Floor Coverings International has been family-run in Windsor-Essex since 1992. This is a steady business with a real reputation and a team that's easy to work with.

Call us or send your resume to Pam.

Small detail. Big upgrade.

On some of our custom projects, we install flush floor vents that are built directly into the flooring itself. Instead of standing out, they blend seamlessly into the surface for a clean, high-end finish.

It’s not just about looks either — these upgraded vents are more durable, more stable, and feel better underfoot, especially in high-traffic areas or anywhere the vent is visible.

When the home is finished, it’s one of those details that quietly elevates everything.

📞 Call or text (519) 735-5515 to ask about upgrade options for your flooring project.

If your basement has ever taken on water, you already know the problem with most flooring.

Glue-down vinyl is different. Because it's bonded directly to your concrete, there's nowhere for water to get underneath and lift it. In a lot of cases the floor can be dried out and saved instead of torn out and replaced. In Windsor-Essex, that's not a small thing.

The part people don't expect is how it feels. Vinyl is genuinely warm underfoot, which is usually why people default to carpet down there. You get the warmth without carpet's relationship with moisture.

It's also easier on the budget than ceramic or tile, and it wipes clean.

We've got a huge selection. Come see it, or let us bring the Mobile Flooring Showroom to you and lay samples out on your own basement floor.
