Happy Saturday everyone!

Had these two 7' slab tops out in the natural light for some photos of the unique grain.

The Lett side is a 37" wide bigleaf maple.slab full of curly grain.

Right side is a beautiful 40" wide redwood Sequoia. Deep reds and purples with a nice light sap wood edging.

Both of these are finished and ready for legs!

Look up to this man in more ways than one. My father troy has spent his life in trees and has been a huge supporter of making Bigleaf woodworks possible.

Greatfull to have worked with across western canada learning the ropes.

Together we now only do select trees for removal to supply myself and other woodworkers in the area.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along , purchased, and shared our work as we really enjoy what we do and could not do it without you!

Check out some of the process included in bringing down some of these large maples and working with them so they are ready for you to enjoy!
We drop em, mill em and finish them. All set and ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

Some of my favourite past project. These pieces always just pop out at me and bring back great memories with awesome people and beautiful grain character. Nothing can compare to the figure found in bigleaf maple. But I am drawn to the contrast of black walnut as much as the rest of you!

Would love a reason to put together another big river table using some unique maple or some big beautiful black walnut.
