Three hours. Hundreds of stems. And a whole lot of flower prep. 🌿✂️

Before these blooms ever make it into an arrangement, every stem gets handled and inspected.

We remove the packaging, strip leaves, remove thorns + guard petals, trim every stem, straw gerbs and get everything into professional solution.

And we’re not done yet…

The blooms will spend the next couple of hours hydrating before they’re finally ready to be designed with or sold in the shop.

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes parts of floristry that you don’t always see — but it’s a BIG part of getting your flowers looking (and lasting) their best.

There’s just something about fall flowers. 🍂✨

Sometimes the weather changes the plan… and sometimes the new plan turns out to be pretty great.

When the rain rolled in, we welcomed Mel, her wedding party, and family to the Armoury early so they could get their photos—and clearly, they made the most of it.

A little music, a beautiful bride, her best girls and a whole lot of fun before the day even officially began.

Because wedding days don’t have to be perfect. They just need good people, a little flexibility and a team that’s ready to pivot when needed.

WHAT A DAY.

Melanie Atkinson & Marc Deleersnyder, your wedding was everything we hoped it would be and more.

From the moment your wedding party and parents arrived early for photos at the majestic Chatham Armoury, there was such an incredible energy in the room. So much laughter, excitement and genuine love—and that feeling carried right through the entire day.

Everything came together so beautifully. The ceremony, the speeches, the food, the dancing, the laughter and all those little moments in between. It was one of those weddings where you could simply feel how loved these two are.

And what an incredible team of vendors. Days like this happen because so many talented people work together behind the scenes to make everything feel effortless.

A huge thank you to the entire Lentina’s Catering team for another absolutely delicious meal, and to our Four Diamond Events bar staff for taking such great care of everyone throughout the night.

Jay Stevens did an incredible job as MC and officiant—bringing so much personality, warmth and humour to the day. And Cierra Kathleen and the photography team were absolutely amazing to watch at work, capturing all of those moments we know Melanie and Marc will treasure forever.

To every vendor who helped bring this beautiful day together—thank you.

And to the family friend that made the wedding cake (sorry I forget your name) --the carrot cake was absolutely delicious.

A bouquet full of the flowers she loved most for a late-summer wedding — dahlias, roses, soft textures, a little wildness, and all the pretty colours.

We loved designing this bridal bouquet and the rest of the wedding flowers for their day. There’s just something so special about creating the flowers that get to be part of someone’s big day — from the first look to the last dance.
