ITR Creations We also create medieval wares, and rustic home decor with wood and metal. It is amazing how Victorian tin can be incorporated into many interesting projects.

We create in-house artisan blended teas including black tea blends, rooibos blends, green and white tea blends, and a creative selection of herbal tinctures for everyone. The rustic boxes and tin items we create are made from materials harvested from our old farmhouse (the earliest date discovered was 1873) as well as precious materials such as silver cutlery, including hand-made items, collected

from various sites such as yard sales and auctions. We also forge our own hooks and handles for some of our creations and sell them as individual pieces. Recently we added crochet tea baskets to our list of articles for sale. Because everything is handmade, it takes a bit of time for our creations to come together. Every piece is made with love for the craft. Every tea blend is made with passion for health and flavour.

Home and sorting through things, starting with photos. The Oxford Rennisance Faire was great fun as always. So much to see, and the people who attend these faires, patrons, actors, musicians, and merchants alike, are amazingly hearty folk. Saturday's weather was beautiful, and the jousting was entertaining beyond usual...I mean, it's always fantastically entertaining but this was the first time I had ever witnessed a lance smashed with such force that it twirled at least 20 feet in the air as if it were part of a Scottish pipe band parade. It didn't land on anyone in the crowd, thank heavens.
Sunday's weather was a challenge. By end of day, we were dealing with muddy "streets" and slippery conditions for pack-up time.
Looking forward to next year!

Getting ready for Oxford Renaissance Festival. Will I get all of these bags completed? Nope! But I will have fun trying. Happy to get the red bags stamped. Will sew some of them up so that I can make up the tablet-woven straps. Interesting thing about commercial dyes...everything that goes in the vat for the first bath gets to be the colour intended. The second round uses up the last of the dye so its a crap shoot...never know what you are going to get, hence the fun blue colour on the last two bags. Do I have yarn that colour? Nope, but I will enjoy figuring it out 🙃

More dress pins, braid beads, and S-hooks in brass ready for market. Also made a few more spiral Norse fibulas. It was brought to my attention at one of the faires that there was no way to attach them... most people aren't wearing a woven belt or tortoise shell brooch at these events so I whipped up little pins to go with them. I mean, I guess they are already a project when you've got to find and hang your own jingles and charms from them 😎

It may not look like we are working, but trust me, we are. The heat is on for the Great Lakes Medieval Tournament and Festival. It's going to be a wonderful weekend! Can't wait to see the Mermaid of the river!!
