DIY canopy bed ✨ Save this one 📌

We skipped the fluting I originally planned and kept the design a little simpler and I actually love where we landed.

Here’s what we used to build our canopy bed:

• 4 — 4x4x8 for the bed posts
• 4 — 2x2x8 for the top canopy frame
• 3 — 1x12x8 for the side rails & footboard
• 1 — 4x8 sheet of birch plywood for the upholstered headboard
• 1x2 trim for the side rails + footboard
• Foam + batting + fabric for the headboard
• Gorilla adhesive to hold foam in place
• Pocket hole screws to join the bed frame
• Brackets/hardware for added support for the headboard
• Walnut gel stain

Finished bed size: 82”W × 86”D × 90”H
