Retreat Home Staging and Redesign Inc. is Toronto based home staging and redesign business. Our goal is to sell your house FASTER and for MORE money.

A home staging company that offers something “a little different” than most other staging companies, where others come in to a home and say “EVERYTHING must GO!”, we take the approach from the standpoint of “WHAT can we RE-USE?”. This cuts down the cost of staging and makes it affordable to ALL. Co-owned by Sue Taylor and Manon Messina, “Retreat” was developed when we saw a niche in the industry that had not yet been tapped into, “staging” it seemed was only being offered to higher end homes. But what about all those “other” homeowners? Was their home not their biggest asset and therefore privy to the TLC that would give them the greatest return possible when their home went to market? We set out to create a company that would specifically help these homeowners. We built up our own inventory of furniture and décor accessories that are used to compliment and update what the homeowner already has. We acquired our own delivery van as well as a stable of well- established painters, cleaners and handymen. Our MISSION is to provide every client regardless of income or house price with a beautifully staged home that presents well on market within a budget they can afford.

A stage that starts with the house. ✨

For this home, we let the architecture do the talking, highlighting the reclaimed wide-plank floors, vaulted ceilings and beautiful skylights rather than competing with them.

The original mid-century details, especially that incredible front door, became our inspiration for the furniture and styling: warm woods, clean lines, organic shapes and just enough vintage character.

The result? A space that feels considered, cohesive and completely at home in its own bones.

Sometimes the best staging is simply knowing what to emphasize. 🤍

Staging doesn’t always mean bringing in an entire house of furniture.

For this home, our client had a strict budget, so we took a more strategic approach; working with what they already had and mixing their furniture with carefully selected pieces from our staging collection. A little editing, a little styling, and the right finishing touches completely changed the feel of the space without blowing the budget

The goal? Make the home feel fresh, inviting and move-in ready so buyers could see its potential and help it sell quickly.
