When your co-op stipend allows you to choose an inhëyl product, you don't hesitate. I went straight for calm, but I didn’t realize how much I actually needed it until I lit it for the first time.

From the clean, intentional packaging to the way the frankincense, myrrh, and sandalwood naturally cue your nervous system to just... stop performing and just exist.

If you’ve ever struggled to sit still without immediately reaching for your phone, this is the ritual your routine is missing.

no dream is too small when you have a grandiose imagination!

our 5th candleversary was last month. i was encouraged to share 5 milestones/achievements in 5 years.

if i’m honest, i resisted.

because the assumption is that milestones ONLY count if they’re LOUD—collabs, storefronts, partnerships, huge revenue months & viral moments

but for a sensory brand, the build was slow & intentional; which means the operational & emotional wins count too!

so what did we achieve?

• rebuilt a full infrastructure from scratch: including onboarding 2 interns in their respective skillset
• curating an ecosystem that works with you, not against you through 2 of the 5 senses: smell & touch
• made rituals, not just candles: connecting fragrance with mood, rest, reflection & atmosphere
• refine instead of overproduced: not very product needs to stay forever; editing became part of the practice
• survived: algo changes, burnout, slower seasons, copycats, creative pivots, operation curves…most of us did, it counts!

🏅honourable mention: creating from energy, not urgency: mondays are mine.

and if you’re another brand or business owner quietly in your 5th year wondering if it counts, it does.

this work is not light. the unsexy infrastructure, the refinement, the survival—it’s just as surmountable as the loud wins, maybe more.

when guests notice our velvet-inspired sashes at in-person markets—the gasps and sighs are SO heartwarming 🥰

a few ways we’re environmentally proud of as a brand:

1. recent add-on: candle refill pouches
2. watercolour paper as scent blot cards at markets
3. from linen to velvet-inspired sashes for packaging instead of tuck boxes
4. complimentary wax melts from unused production pours

we also love hearing about the ways our guests reuse them:

• good friend & guided meditation instructor repurposes our sashes for her singing bowl and palo santo wands 🧘🏾‍♀️
• some reuse for jewelry and phone cords during travel ✨
• some reuse jars as stationary storage 🙌🏾
• some prefer to return sashes to us 🤎
• others leave a note at online checkout that prefers no bells & whistles (aka marketing stuffing) 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏼
