1893 Bradley & Hubbard Perpetual Calendar

I love the idea of this sitting on someone’s desk 133 years ago.

Cast metal with a beautifully aged finish, and an almost complete set of original celluloid calendar cards.
The card for months beginning on a Wednesday has gone missing somewhere along the way.
Otherwise in incredible condition.

Bradley & Hubbard was founded in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut. By the 1890s they were a global household name best known for their art nouveau desk accessories & decorative lighting fixtures. The business survived the Great Depression, but after 88 years in business they eventually sold the company in 1940. Today the brand is highly prized by collectors & over 175 of their designs are held in the permanent collections of prestigious institutions like the Smithsonian & the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Rare Elvis King Creole Window Shade

Not just a poster, but a window shade featuring Jean Mascii’s striking artwork for the 1959 French theatrical release of King Creole. Boy do I love when art and the everyday collide.

Printed on a beautifully textured fibrous paper that softly filters light when hung in a window, and looks just as good on a wall.

A rare piece in incredible condition, complete with its original wooden dowels, pull cords and bamboo rollers.
It doesn’t seem like many of these survived, so thank you vintage gods…thank you very much 😏

Hand Painted Miss Piggy Ceramic Vase

Give this diva her flowers…or some pens.

Made in Japan in the late 70s/early 80s by Sigma Taste Setter (a company with a name ahead of its time lol)
8” of hand painted, glazed ceramic drama.

In good condition besides a couple flea bites to paint on her knuckles (see photos)

Hand-painted, Double-sided Washroom Sign

The carved hand and typography were what first caught my eye, but then I noticed the fingerprints left in the finish & nearly died. It’s those kinda details I foam at the mouth for.

Picked up at Aberfoyle by its previous owners about 20 years ago, and judging by the use of the word washroom, I’d guess it was likely made in Canada.

Never get lost on your way to the loo again 😌

Vintage National lap steel guitar in pearlescent ivory, complete with original case and amplifier.

Started long ago in a garage in California, Nationals have since become Americana legends & this set shows you why.

Made in 1962. This National 1056 lap steel guitar features a symmetrical, ivory pearloid body, painted totem fret markers & National stickpin shield logo on its peghead as well as the amp. Pickup on rounded-corner metal plate, with k***s on treble side & jack on the bass side.

A piece that feels as much at home in a studio as it does resting against a wall, waiting to be played.

In great overall condition, with original amp, cord, carrying case & horseshoe pickup. The amp takes tubes and I’m not quite sure how to replace them, but I was told it was in great working order before the owner put it down and never picked it back up.
Wear consistent with age.
