By doing so, we divert waste from our landfills and reduce Green House Gas emissions associated with the production of new heavy, durable materials, such as carpet. Every year our team heads out to enjoy some nature together. This year’s retreat took us to Georgian Bay for some relaxation, celebration and time together outside the office. These are well-earned moments for our amazing team (Fern, Lilly, Denis, Seth, Luca, Juan & Nate) to enjoy the environment that we work hard to protect every day. We are very thankful for our business, our customers and our roles to protect the green spaces we all value so much. A special thank you to those on our team who could not make the trip this year, Kathleen and Bill, as well as a shout out to Marisa who was there in spirit. We will also never forget our hombre Alejandro who was always a a part of these retreats and will always be with us. 💙 Thank you team Circular Partners. Thank you nature.

Another project in the books! Earlier this week, our team just wrapped up a full carpet and electronic waste removal with one of our long-standing partners in the heart of downtown Toronto🌱

From removal, pickup to processing, every item is sorted for its Highest & Best Use and kept out of landfill through our designated sustainable solutions. We’re grateful for partners who go the extra mile to ensure these materials have a destination that preserves their embodied carbon value as much as possible.

This project adds to our running total of 22 million+ lbs diverted from landfill, as well as over 106 million lbs of CO2 equivalent reduced over the past 12 years.

Some trips are planned. This one was meant to be.

When recently renovated their carpet, they didn’t just take the easy route and throw the old material into a dumpster. They chose a circular solution with us to combat the hospitality industry’s “take-make-waste” cycle.

We were so inspired by their dedication to the planet that we hosted our Operations Team trip at their Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn this past April. We had an amazing time! Hitting the slopes with equipment from E-biking through the mountain air with Exploring wild country Coming home each night to the warmth and Western hospitality of Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn!

What started as a sustainability project, finding an environmentally responsible solution for old carpet, quietly grew into something none of us could have scripted. No photo can prepare you for seeing the mountains in real life. If you’re looking for some fun mixed with beautiful scenery, we highly recommend visiting Canmore and the team at Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn – tell them we sent you!

Our team had an incredible time conquering the yesterday for the climb.

We’re so proud to support the vital work WWF is doing to restore ecosystems, fight climate change, and protect wildlife. We battle alongside you everyday with our work at Circular Partners.

Giving back is core to who we are. Every year we donate 4% of our annual profits to impactful charities in our community and beyond, and we are so honoured that this year’s donation is going to help the WWF continue their mission to regenerate Canada.

Join us for an insightful event exploring the hidden link between materials and the air we breathe. While emissions from transportation are well known, every material carries a “carbon debt” from extraction, manufacturing, and transport — known as embodied carbon.

Circular Partners will share how keeping over 21 million pounds of materials in circulation helps avoid new production and the emissions that come with it.

We’ll also be collecting laundered denim and sorted 100% cotton items for FREE at this event.
