FEATURED VENDOR: Jessica Gosbee of "Sweet Locks"

I have always loved to make things. When I had my first baby girl, I found a great new reason to make things. I was actually crafting her mobile on my dining room table when I went into labour!

Her hair grew at an astonishing rate and I became inspired to make barrettes to hold her “sweet locks” back from her beautiful blue eyes. Now that I have a second baby girl (with more hair than the first!) the barrette design is in full force and “Sweet Locks” was born! My barrettes are constructed from ribbon and felt and each hand-stitched with great love and care.

A variety of barrettes will be available at the upcoming Urban Family Craft Fair, including some very cute bunnies just in time for Easter! I will also be selling bunny hand puppets, finger puppets and little kid fabric jewelry sets. In addition, if you are looking for a special piece of art for your baby or toddler, I also create custom wall art and mobiles and would be happy to chat about crafting something special for your little one’s room.

I look forward to seeing you at the Urban Family Craft Fair on Saturday, April 5th!

FEATURED VENDOR: Amy de Wilde of "Puddle and Jump"

It all began with a paper growth chart that never came in the mail in 2012 when Greyson (my son) was born. Worried that precious moments and memories were being lost, I began to think about creating my own way of memorializing the milestones my family would experience. Stained with tea and coffee and hand painted, our first growth chart was proudly displayed in our living room. And, like many crafting ventures, the support of my friends and family helped me take off from there and puddle & jump was born. Now with the help of my lovely sister Monica, we work hard to create pieces as unique as the families who take them home. We lovingly craft wooden growth charts, family floor cushions, sweet dreams/tooth fairy pillows, fabric fortune cookies and fun artwork. We look forward to meeting you and crafting for your family!

Come and visit Puddle and Jump at the Urban Family Craft Fair on Saturday, April 5th!

FEATURED VENDOR: Megan Ewing of "Duck Duck Goose Towels"

A very talented lady channels her occasional rage against the classroom into child-friendly crafting. But don’t be fooled, these super fun-ctional (quack quack) towels aren't just for the 4-foot and under set. They come in all sizes. Just think of the possibilities – you can blow your fellow baby shower attendees away with your gifted gift-giving, surrender to your Halloween costume laziness, or bring the ducks to the dock with stylish cottage couture. Towels come in newborn, baby, kid, and adult sizes.

FEATURED VENDOR: Margaret of "Tiny Feet"

Margaret's crafting story...

I first began crafting bo**ies for my granddaughter. She wore them all the time; inside the house to avoid slipping, over her onesie pajamas, even outside on cold days instead of winter boots! I received so much positive feedback from my daughter and her mommy friends that before I knew it I was constructing more and more of these bo**ies. And so, Tiny Feet was born!

Because of my desire to remain as sustainable as possible, I vowed to construct these boots with the utmost of care. These bo**ies are made entirely by hand in Toronto, Canada. They are crafted from 100% recycled yarn and upcycled leather, thus greatly reducing our impact on the environment. The products used in the construction of the bo**ies are very durable, which means moms can hand them down from baby to baby, and won't be throwing them out after one season.

Tiny Feet bo**ies are beautifully crafted, warm, and come in a variety of colours for babies through to toddler years. They are oh-so-soft and breathable. The soles are made of non-slip leather, which truly make walking a breeze. They help socks stay on, and give a good grip for crawlers and little walkers.

Every bo**ie will fit narrow feet or wide feet because of the soft construction. They make a perfect baby gift and a wonderful newborn keepsake.

Come and visit Tiny Feet at the Urban Family Craft Fair on April 5th!

FEATURED VENDOR: Stephanie Holden of "Under the Light Table"

Join me for a graphic design adventure! These are things I have created to motivate my children to learn and achieve big kid things.

Under the light table was my first playground, craft centre and reading spot. While my father owned a Commercial Printing company, my mother worked evening shifts as a Nurse. My dad needed to work late at the shop so I would go with my dad to work. As he developed film and burned plates, I found myself very at home under the light table flipping through the clip art books. I knew I always looked up to my dad but I never thought this childhood pastime would lead me to become a Graphic Designer. I can remember how excited I was to go to work with my father. That enthusiasm for this industry is still with me today.

Come see "Under the Light Table" at this year's Urban Family Craft Fair on April 5th!
