The one thing I let my husband choose for the renovation… and apparently, it has a mind of its own. 😂
Our TOTO 🇨🇦 Luxury Bathroom Innovation + Design toilet opening on cue was not planned, but it gave us the perfect introduction to our bathroom renovation in Lytton Park, Midtown Toronto.
The inspiration began with The Dewberry in Charleston. I loved its timeless use of marble, so we carried the Calacatta marble from our vestibule throughout the entire bathroom.
Because the marble makes such a strong statement, I kept the vanity simple and used Kohler Artifacts collection for the faucet and shower fixtures. The warm brass finish adds character without competing with the stone.
We also went with an open, doorless shower to keep everything feeling seamless.
A big thank-you to my brother, who was also our contractor. Working with marble takes patience, precision and someone who truly knows what they are doing.
And the robotic toilet?
Not exactly my first choice aesthetically, but it certainly keeps our guests entertained.
Apparently, this is what happens when you let your husband make one bathroom decision. 🤍
