There is something worth celebrating in what we make at home.

This custom coffee table is a study in simplicity — warm oak, cognac leather, a quiet black frame and a graphic textile that all come together without asking for attention.

Designed and made here in Canada, it is a reminder that good design doesn’t need to travel far to be exceptional.

At Industrial Storm, we believe in the value of working with local talent, local makers and the people who bring an idea from drawing to finished piece.

And at a time when tariffs and changing trade relationships are making us look more closely at where things come from, perhaps it is also a good moment to look closer to home.

Canadian design. Canadian craftsmanship. Made with pride.

“In the melting dark / a soft light / cradles the room” — Kobayashi Issa

In the quietude of a well-lit space, we find the beauty of “Ma”—the silence that gives meaning to the light. This sculptural form doesn’t just illuminate a room; its taut, translucent membrane bends light to shape the very atmosphere, inviting a moment of pause in a busy world.

Designed for versatility, this striking piece is available in both 34” and 22” diameters to seamlessly fit your space.

Discovering peace in the interplay of shadow and mist.

Craftsmanship this detailed has nowhere to hide.

This beautifully handcrafted dining table by LUMA | Furniture & Accessories is a true testament to the quiet power of simple materials working in seamless harmony—where the rich wood grain meets hand-treated metal detailing.

In a design this clean and architectural, there is simply nowhere to hide. Every joint, edge, and finish must be absolute perfection. The dedication to quality is so complete that even the underside of this table is finished with the same meticulous care as the top. True quality is felt, not just seen.

A beautiful space isn’t just about the furniture around you—it’s about the environment you create within yourself.

For nearly 30 years, you’ve known me as a co-founder here at Industrial Storm, helping you bring custom craftsmanship and design into homes and commercial spaces.

Today, I wanted to step in front of the camera to share a deeply personal look into my other passion project, bridging the world of physical design with holistic wellness: Amanari Botanicals.

As I explain in the video, my fascination with wellness stems from childhood memories of visiting traditional Chinese apothecaries with my mother. That curiosity never left me—it eventually led me to study advanced organic skincare formulation and become a certified perfumer.

For me, this is a natural, sensory extension of my design philosophy. Just as we craft furniture, I step into my own formulation lab to hand-blend every single texture, skincare product, and ambient fragrance myself—with an eye toward introducing bespoke, custom scent services down the road.

Slow down with me:
Skincare shouldn’t be another chore on your to-do list. It’s a dedicated moment entirely for you. Beyond my botanical formulations, I have created ‘Our Journal’ at amanari.com—a quiet space where I share gentle reflections, wellness insights, and educational elements to help you ground your senses.

There is a profound, heavy stillness that lives within handcrafted ceramics.

These small, obsidian-glazed vessels are a quiet sampling of our collection by Gary Flaherty.

They are not merely objects, but containers for silence-shaped by steady, patient hands and left to find their final form in the dark depths of the kiln.

Each piece carries a beautiful reminder to slow down and seek quiet spaces in our everyday rituals.
