ABOUT – Heather Lind ARIDO, ASID, NCIDQ Certificate #06329, IDC Welcome to H|L design associates new page. My name is Heather Lind and I am the dynamic owner of H|L design associates. I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and after high school chose to pursue my education in Music Therapy at the University of Windsor. During my stay in Windsor I was given the opportunity to work at a
local paint store, where my love of design became apparent through my personalized approach to the design and colour selections for my clients homes. My experience at the paint store allowed me to see that we were not designing the same templates and content every week, we were actually engaging in new design challenges brought forth by our customers. Following my 4 year studies at the University of Windsor in Music and Psychology, I chose to enroll in the Interior Design Program at Humber College, a little bit closer to home. I survived the 3 year program and graduated with FIDER accreditation and Honors Standing. My late Granny took art classes in the same building as the Group of Seven, my great aunt who is now 102 enjoyed dabbling with oil and acrylic paintings. My late brother became an architect and I have been involved in music and art classes since the young age of 5. We were not whisked off to hockey and soccer practices growing up but rather Saturday morning art classes and numerous piano lessons. For that I am grateful and am proud to carry on the tradition of art through design for my family. My 8+ years of work experience has allowed me to become an accomplished hard-working Project Manager and Certified Interior Designer with scholastic and professional experience in various aspects of interior design, such as: AutoCAD, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Project Management, sustainable and ergonomic designs. I am known for my reliability, punctuality and giving generously of my time. I believe in creating spaces that reflect a corporations culture, techniques and philosophies. I truly love design and hospitality, building upon or creating new partnerships and sharing my thoughts and ideas. I understand that renovations take courage and I am here to help you realize your vision. I believe that “a successful design means successful business and customer satisfaction.” With this belief I want you to succeed. Results will flourish when this philosophy is shared. I aspire to design spaces that make a good first impression but deliver outstanding hospitality experiences that customers will want to frequent. My total service approach is tailored to each client’s individual needs. Continue to follow us as we are in the business of creating Signature Spaces to handle the present and the future.
