Did you know that Kennedy Galleries actually started as a restoration workshop back in 1967? 🕰️
For our long-time local clients, you might remember the iconic Eaton’s store on Yonge Street in the 1960s. That’s where our founder, Ron Lanni, first honed his skills as an artist in high-end furniture restoration.
Driven by a passion for his craft, Ron left to open his own workshop: "The Furniture Clinic." But something unexpected happened. His refinishing work was so meticulous that visitors to the clinic constantly asked to buy the pieces he was restoring for his clients!
Realizing Toronto needed a destination for true quality pieces, Ron expanded. We eventually moved to a 30,000 sq. ft. space on Kennedy Road South in Brampton—which is where the name Kennedy Galleries was born.
Today, 59 years later, we are proud to call our 40,000 sq. ft. building in Etobicoke home. While Ron passed away in 2001, Kennedy Galleries remains proudly family-owned and operated by his sons, Jeff and Michael.
Whether it's a high-fashion new item or a timeless vintage treasure, our goal remains exactly the same as Ron's was in 1967: to help our customers enjoy a more beautiful home with the finest options available, backed by a refinishing team that truly loves what they do.
Thank you to all of our incredible customers who have supported this family dream for over half a century! Stop by and see us at 86 Queen Elizabeth Blvd—we'd love to show you around. 👇
