Old School Furniture, At Home. 🏡

I don’t share customer photos and reviews often enough. This antique oak hall wardrobe made its way from Trail to Maple Ridge and now lives in this beautiful laundry room. It looks like it was made for the space. 🤍

I also wanted to share these two recent reviews in full. Both customers purchased from a distance and trusted me to help arrange getting their pieces to them. I really appreciate them taking the time to share their experiences.

Old School Furniture is open by appointment seven days a week for anyone who would like to come in and browse. There are always new pieces coming in, including plenty of inventory that hasn’t been listed yet. 🪑

If you prefer to browse online, I currently have more than 250 items listed under my name on Facebook Marketplace. If you can’t find my listings, send me a message and I’ll send you the link. 📱

And if you have a piece from Old School Furniture in your home, send me a photo. I’d love to make this a regular feature and show the different ways these pieces are being used and enjoyed. 📸

✨ PRIVATE SALE FROM MY OWN COLLECTION ✨

Two pieces from my own collection are ready for new homes.

I have had this vintage oak desk and set of four woven chairs together in my home because visually, they are a beautiful combination. They are being offered separately so each can find the setting that suits it best.

🖋️ VINTAGE BILTRITE OAK DESK

Made in Quebec by Biltrite Furniture Mfg. Inc. of Terrebonne, a manufacturer of commercial office furniture.

Its unusually generous work surface, double sided construction and large drawer on each long side suggest it may originally have been an executive, administrative or banker’s desk.

It would make an incredible statement desk for an office, studio, library or creative workspace.

📏 Desk measurements:

60” long
40” deep
31” tall
24.5” from the floor to the skirting

🪑 SET OF FOUR WOVEN CHAIRS

These high back woven chairs have wonderful texture and warm neutral colouring. They are comfortable, substantial and easy to incorporate around a dining table or throughout a home as occasional seating.

📏 Chair measurements:

18.5” wide
18” deep
18.5” seat height
40” tall

The desk and set of four chairs are available separately.

📩 Please send me a message for additional details or to arrange an appointment.

A fresh look around the main Old School Furniture shop space! 🤎🌿

I’ve just brought in a large collection of new pieces, and the shop is feeling very full again—in the best possible way. There are antique cabinets, display pieces, tables, dressers, shelving, unique smalls and plenty more tucked throughout the space. 🪞🪴🪑

And yes—the only AI editing in these photos was removing some scuffs and grime from the floor. 😂 Everything else, including the furniture, colours, proportions and shop itself, is exactly as photographed!

Not everything shown has been listed yet, so if something catches your eye and you can’t find it on Marketplace, feel free to message me. New listings will continue to be added!

I’ll share a link in the comments to the nearly 300 vintage and antique items currently available through my Marketplace profile. 👇

✨ A truly stunning 1930s Art Deco wardrobe! ✨

The beautifully bookmatched walnut burl across the doors is the star of this piece, framed by softly rounded corners and finished with ornate decorative k***s. Inside, it offers a generous hanging section, a full-width upper shelf and several smaller shelves for folded clothing, shoes or accessories.

At just over 34” wide, it provides substantial storage without taking up the space of a modern double wardrobe. Perfect for a bedroom, guest room, entryway—or even converted into a distinctive hidden bar. 🥃

📏 34.25” wide
📏 19.5” deep
📏 67.75” tall

Available through Old School Furniture. Viewing is by appointment in Trail, BC. 🤎

✨🤩 Okay, this might be one of the coolest oddities I’ve had come through Old School Furniture! 🤩✨

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for wondering what on earth it is. 👀🤔

This beautiful chrome machine is a vintage Castle Speed-Clave No. 777 — a countertop steam sterilizer made by the Wilmot Castle Company in Rochester, New York. 🇺🇸⚙️

These machines used pressurized steam to sterilize instruments and were found in professional medical and dental settings. 🩺🦷 Similar equipment also became a familiar sight in old barbershops and tattoo studios. 💈🖤🪒

And the design! 😍✨ That huge pressure gauge, heavy locking chamber, mechanical timer, polished metal body and original blue Castle badge give it such an incredible mid-century industrial look. ⚙️⏱️🔥

Today I think its best second life might be as a seriously cool conversation piece. 💥 Imagine it displayed in a tattoo studio 🖤, barbershop 💈, restaurant 🍽️, retail space 🛍️, medical collection 🩺 or even in the home of someone who loves unusual industrial antiques. 🏠✨

I’m curious — would you display something like this in your home or business? And where would you put it? 👀🤔👇

This one has been a long time coming. 🖤✨

I picked up this solid pine hall stand years ago, when its very 80s/90s finish made it hard to imagine in a current home. 🤎 I started painting it, never quite finished it… and it ended up sitting in my project pile for far too long. 🪵⏳

I finally pulled it back out and finished what I started. 🙌🎨

The black completely changed it. 🖤 The turned details and oversized mirror suddenly feel much more intentional, and I can see it working as an entryway piece, hall console, bedroom mirror, or even in a bathroom. 🏡✨ It doesn’t currently have hooks, but they could easily be added if someone wanted to use it as a traditional hall tree. 🪝

I digitally staged it a few different ways because I was genuinely curious. 👀💭

Would you consider a piece like this in your home now? And where would you use it? 🤍

32.25” wide
18.25” deep
27” surface height
85” total height

The staged photos are for styling inspiration — the first photos show the actual piece. 📷✨

✨ A WISHLIST FIND THAT’S NOW AVAILABLE ✨

This beautiful solid oak & ash church pew came in because someone had added a large pew to my new customer wishlist. 👀

I found one! 🙌 But once it arrived, it turned out to be a little too nice for the outdoor use they had in mind — so this beauty is now available. 🤎

It’s been freshly cleaned and waxed and has gorgeous grain, substantial solid-wood construction and carved trefoil details on the ends. 🌿

📏 89” wide
📏 21” deep
📏 17.25” seat height
📏 37.25” total height

And this is a great example of how my new WISHLIST SYSTEM works! 📝✨

If there’s something you’ve been trying to find — a particular dresser, an old workbench, matching nightstands, a narrow wardrobe, architectural salvage, or something wonderfully specific — send me a message and I can add it to the list. 🔎

It’s definitely not foolproof, and I can’t promise I’ll find everything, but it’s already resulted in some great matches! 🎯

When something comes through that fits a request, I know exactly who to contact first. 📲

💡 You can send me a wishlist request anytime.
Photos, measurements, preferred style and an approximate budget are especially helpful.

And remember — the wishlist is only a small part of what I have available! 🪑🪞🗄️

📱 I currently have nearly 300 items listed on Marketplace, with more being photographed and listed all the time — plus inventory that hasn’t made it online yet.

👀 Want to see things in person instead?

I offer 30–60 minute browsing appointments at Old School Furniture. Just send me a message to arrange a time.
