I can’t wait to hear all about your goals, here are mine: Firstly to celebrate 🥂 WOW! What an incredible BRAugust, it’s been an absolute blast hosting and seeing the incredible creativity and camaraderie in our community- cheers to us!! My second goals is to have some time to rest 😴. Then to get back into my projects - I recently got a huge lot of deadstock fabric, and I would like to get my studio organized and this fabric up in the shop asap! 😁 and to carve out some time for pattern work- I heard all your comments on my post about the underwired bra pattern I’ve been working on, and I’ve been keen to jump back into it!

Day 30- Skill Set- One of the skills I’ve developed is a deep understanding of materials: how to use them, how they can be altered or used in a different way and how to combine them for the look or properties that I need. Knowing you can pleat or ruffle tulle, sew strap elastic into a fabric, use sheer cup lining for stability and shape while making it look invisible, sometimes in a sheer way or sometimes completely hidden inside the inner workings of a dress. It’s a skill I developed over time, project by project, collecting little bits of knowledge ✨

Day 26 Inspiration- I find this community so inspiring! I love seeing new designs from my fellow designers and trying them out!! Here are just a few things I’ve made using my friends patterns or one that is my patterns made for me by a friend 🥰

Day 24 Selfless Sew- I mostly sew for myself - but I do have a tradition where every year since my goddaughter was born I’ve made her a bathing suit for her birthday. This year the request was purple and leopards, last year axolotls, the year before was Mercat, it’s been so much fun every year planning out the swimsuit and finding the perfect fabric ✨🥳

Day 23 All in the Details- I like to plan out the little details first when I’m making a set, I think about the lace, the design, and what would make it special. With this Secret Garden lace I wanted the look of a garden wall with vines and flowers climbing it, so I made sure to have the lace all going up- no powerbar, and no lace edge for the frame. Then I wanted the pop of the chocolate elastics, but to make sure the back looked cohesive with the fabric and elastic colour contrast I decided to do the scoop back modification so the straps would flow into the hook and eye and connect the colours. The details are what make a set next level ✨👌

Happy Valentine’s Day! 🩷🌸 Our secret garden themed lace collection is up in the shop, the sale is on, the sun is shining and it’s time to treat yourself! Which lace is your favourite?

In addition to all the gorgeous laces and kits we’ve launched we also have a new elastic colour surprise! Lilac!! We’re so excited about this gorgeous shade, and we have it available in yardage and also in our Wood Anemone and Climbing Rose lace kits!

Latest Valentine’s make 🌸 I wanted to try out some new-to-me patterns and landed on the from and the from I had the perfect supplies to make these patterns and the match with this lace and our Rosy findings is perfect, can’t want to launch it as part of our Valentine’s collection!
Both patterns sewed up well and are a nice fit (32C Sahara and L in the Ross) 🩷
