The Forest Finder – A One-of-a-Kind Nature Sculpture

Meet The Forest Finder, a whimsical woodland traveller handcrafted by Nova Scotia needle felting artist Tanya Beck.

After walking miles through the forest, this little acorn adventurer discovered the perfect tree and carefully decorated it with delicate Albizia flowers he carried along for his journey. His tiny backpack held the decorations as he travelled, while his camera hung around his neck, ready to capture a photograph of his finished masterpiece.

Every detail tells a piece of his story. The nature man is handcrafted using acorns and other natural materials, while his beautiful evergreen is needle felted by hand and decorated with Albizia flowers. The entire woodland scene is mounted on a gorgeous piece of natural live-edge wood, preserving the bark, texture, and character of the tree.

This isn’t simply a decoration—it’s a little story brought to life through nature and needle felting, celebrating adventure, imagination, creativity, and the beauty that can be found in the forest.
