I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone has any suggestions or feedback before I call it done.
It's cherrywood, which is why the different colors in the elephants.I also put in some very subtle water color in the sky and water.

Finished, this ash wood half cookie has 140 rings. You can see the history of the 1930s drought where the rings are so tiny. After I prepared the wood, a discoloration appeared as though this image was meant to be there.
