Happy Friday! Today we’re taking a moment to catch up with a long time fav artist of ours, . Bold and sophisticated, Stephanie’s colorful work definitely makes a beautiful statement. The harmonious palettes and chic simplicity of her compositions combine to create eye-catching pieces that are a stunning focal point in any room. We can’t get enough of her work and it’s cheerful, positive, uncomplicated vibe!
Q. What is your idea of a little luxury? A. A pedicure (no manicures for a painter!).
Q. What is the last creative thing that you did? A. If an hour goes by and I’m not creating, then I must not be working, and that means I must not be awake. Thankfully, there’s nothing I would rather be doing than creating.
Q. What’s one thing that has inspired you lately? A. The light and shadows cast on the sand drifts during my daily beach walks.
Q. What do you hope people will experience through your work? A. An appreciation of how colors communicate with each other, and how color has the ability to carry a painting on its own, without a complex composition.
Q. Describe your workspace—what will we find?! A. Three walls of glass, and the music turned up loud all day long. Tubs, cans and jars of paint, beautiful paint. An empty coffee mug here and there. Paint-drenched rags and towels scattered around, with rolls of canvas and linen leaning in the corners. And almost always you’ll find my French bulldog, Muffy. In a word, you’ll find my bliss!
Thank you Stephanie, for sharing this peek into your color-filled creative life!
