As an interior designer, I believe the true soul of a project comes from the references we bring back from the outside world. 🌍✨
During my trip to Greece, visiting artists like Todd Marshard in Paros and stepping into Yanni Souvatzoglou’s gallery in Athens completely shifted my perspective. When Todd shared how he simply loves “playing with shapes” without rigid rules, it struck a chord with me. And seeing Yanni’s sculptures up close, transforming rigid bronze into pieces filled with such movement and deep human expression, was truly inspiring.
That is exactly what I aim to bring into my projects: incorporating organic shapes, raw textures, and sculptural pieces with history that break the rigidity of a space and create immediate warmth and identity. Design isn’t just about filling a room it’s about emotion and storytelling through objects.
Which of these artistic expressions would you choose for your home? Let me know below! 👇

A bathtub nobody had used in years was taking up half of this bathroom.

That only came up because we asked about their daily routine. Two people, same time, every morning, in a layout built for one.

What replaced it: a large walk-in shower with custom niche, a double vanity, storage planned around actual needs, and materials chosen for durability because cleaning was something they mentioned more than once. . .

This master bedroom had a long and wide hallway that wasn’t really practical.

Our clients needed space for a king bed, storage for personal items and books, and a closet that wouldn’t feel like an afterthought.

So instead of fighting the awkward layout, we put it to work.

What made it work was walking through the constraints together, early.

Once expectations were aligned, the design could follow their routine, not the other way around.

She was halfway through her renovation when she reached out. The work was underway and it wasn’t going to look anything like what she had in mind.

Her words were that she didn’t feel understood.

I often hear a version of this: Clients unable to find the right designer.

Projects that were so chaotic that became a traumatic experience. Expectations that have not been met.

None of that is a design problem. It is what happens when the questions don’t get asked early enough. . .

Ask me what makes a project work and you will be surprised to learn that it is not just the floorplan.
The projects that go well are the ones where nobody is guessing. Where we identify what’s possible. And flag what isn’t. Where the project is always on track and where we have the client’s interest at heart.
Most of the stress in a renovation doesn’t come from the work itself. It comes from poor communication.
What’s the one thing you’d want to be told upfront before starting a project? . .

The house works. Everything’s in place. But nothing in it tells me who actually lives there.
So I don’t start with what the house needs. I start with how you live now.
And when the space finally matches who you are today, the change isn’t about how it looks. It’s walking in and feeling like it’s yours again.
Save this if your home still reflects a version of you that has already changed. . .

This kitchen looked fine. It just wasn’t working.
We started with the layout. A larger island that gives plenty of counter space, real storage, and seating for four. Custom cabinetry so every small appliance has a dedicated spot. A new recycling center for maximum organization. Open shelving in the upper cabinets to display art. All with the objective of creating a functional and brighter room.
We also moved the dining area adjacent to the kitchen for better flow and added a bar with more storage, so hosting no longer means carrying everything across the house.
Now the kitchen holds their life instead of getting in the way. . .

Five years in the same home, and it still feels temporary.
I hear that more often than you’d think. And it’s almost never about the furniture. It’s about a space that was never designed around the person living in it.
You stop noticing after a while. But your day still feels heavier than it should.
When a space finally reflects you, the shift is immediate. Not in the details but in how the day moves. Quieter. Lighter. Yours.
That’s the moment I wait for in every project.
Save this if your home still feels like it belongs to someone else. . .

There’s a version of you that didn’t exist five years ago.
A new title. A home that’s quieter now that the kids don’t need that room anymore. A relationship that asked you to grow into someone else.

We update almost everything about our lives, except the space we come home to every day.
A home doesn’t have to stay frozen in the chapter it was built for. It can move with the one living in it.
Save this for the season you’re stepping into. 🤍 . .

Before I show past projects to a new client, I ask one question: what does the home you’ve always dreamed of feel like?

Every project starts here, not with portfolios, but with listening. How you live in the space. What’s been bothering you. What you value, even the parts you haven’t quite put words into.

From that first conversation, I tell you honestly what’s possible and what isn’t. No inflated promises, no expectations we won’t be able to meet.

Because a home that feels like yours was never left to chance. It’s built on being heard, from the first conversation to the very last day on site. . .
