Top 3 mistakes to avoid before buying furniture:

1. Measure everything. Know your layout parameters and know all your measurements before buying.

2. Materials: When it comes to rugs, wool is the ultimate in look, durability and comfort. Silk and viscose rugs are ideal more for low traffic areas.

3. Cushion inserts: a nice heavy weight dense foam will hold its shape of your sofa for many years. Serious comfort is feather down wrapped in a core foam, giving a soft seat yet less fluffing.
